NEW REGISTRATION
Before filling the admission form, you have to register by providing a valid e-mail address. This e-mail address will be used by you for receiving your password. After registration, login to NUST site for filling the admission form and subsequent correspondence with NUST on all matters related to admission.

  1. Add [email protected] to your e-mail address book to avoid blocking of messages from NUST as SPAM.
  2. Protect your User ID and Password. Neither share it with anyone nor send it through e-mail (NUST will never ask you to do this).

DATES TO REMEMBER
  • Applications can be processed online from the NUST website from 19 Apr 2026.
  • The last date for the submission of applications is 04 Jun 2026.
  • The last date for the submission of applications Fee is 05 Jun 2026.
  • Classes will commence from 1st/2nd week of Sep 26 (Tentatively).
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
    18 years of education in a related discipline as given below with minimum CGPA 3.0/4.0, 3.75/5.0 (in the Semester System) or First Division (in the Annual System) in M.Phil/MS/Equivalent with research work. The candidate should have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours of coursework OR 24 credit hours of coursework and 06 credit hours of thesis/research work. The percentage will be valid only if the CGPA is not mentioned in the degree/transcript.

    Must have qualified following:-

  • Graduate -NUST Entrance Test (G-NET) by NUST, Pakistan (Overall score => 60%
  • Valid NTS GAT (General) Test for PhD programmes by NTS (Score => 60%).
  • Valid HAT Test HEC, Pakistan (Score => 60%).

  • OR

  • GRE(General) conducted by ETS, USA, with following minimum score separately in each section:-

    Quantitative (130/170​)
    Verbal​ (130/170)​
    Analytical Writing (3/6.0)​

  • MS/MPhil/Equivalent degree must be verified by HEC.
  • G-NET/GRE/GAT/HAT score must be valid at the start of semester date/joining date of PhD programmes.
  • The percentage will be valid only if CGPA is not mentioned in degree/transcript.


  • Note: Submission of the MS/MPhil transcript and degree, duly verified by HEC, is mandatory for admission to NUST PhD program.
  • For admission in PhD Business Administration at NUST Business School (NBS) only: In addition to one of the above-mentioned tests, a Subject Test will be conducted during the admission cycle/interview. The scores of the tests must be 60 and above.
